After careful consideration and research, we decided to book our trip to Greece and Petros was there every step of the way to help us customize the experience exactly to our liking. Our focus was food, wine and history throughout the our 10 day journey to Crete, Santorini and Athens. We were fortunate enough to visit the islands over Greek Orthodox Easter which was an amazing experience that we didnt want to miss! Petros made special arrangements for us, ensuring we were well taken care of over the holiday. We were met at every port of call/airport/hotel by a representative who answered all our questions and provided us with information to make the most of our visit. Everything was absolutely amazing! From the hotels, transportation, transfers, restaurant recommendations to the planned outings, we enjoyed every last bit. We were saying through the whole trip and when we got back that we are so happy we decided to book our once in a lifetime honeymoon through you. It was the perfect amount of planned activities and free time to explore the ioslands on our own. In Mykonos we decided to rent a car and experience Greek driving...woah! We drove up to the lighthouse and to a few different beaches both on the south shore and the north shore. What a fun day! On the wine tour we met Kendell and James Benz who booked with you. What a fun couple! We ended up going for drinks after the wine tour and happened to be on the same sunset sail as them the next day which was a happy surprise. All in all the trip was amazing. Working with Petros was more like working with a friend or family member than a faceless travel agent. We had our first discussions via phone and e-mail, then later in-person, where he was always flexible in schedule and met our busy lifestyle, working weekends and nights to answer our many questions. Petros clearly knows what he is doing. Typically I enjoy planning our vacations via the internet and searching for good deals. However during our engagement, the idea of planning yet one more thing was not that appealing especially when going to a country that has so many beautiful places to choose from. It can also be tough to negotiate logistically when they dont put out all their schedules for ferries etc. too far in advance. This is where you can let Petros come in to take over the planning and get you a good deal. He spends time talking to you about what you are looking for (nightlife, photgraphy, adventure, remote isolation) and truly develops an itinerary that works for you. Yes, tons of people go to Mykonos and Santorini, but he will help shape your trip even within those islands so that you feel like its still a special trip for you. He will be as involved or as uninvolved as you wish. His prices are comparable to what you would find on your own except trhat he has relationships with people in the Greek Islands that will give you an extra little something. We couldnt be happier that we chose Greece as our honeymoon destination! We found Hellenic Holidays while searching honeymoons on the Wedding Channel and immediately called. Petros is definetely an expert in Greece and got us so excited for the trip of a lifetime! We decided to do the 10 Day honeymoon to Athens, Mykonos and Santorini... although if I had to do it all over again I would have added at least another another 2 days to Santorini. Most beautiful place on earth with just too much to see in 3 days. However, our budget allowed for 10 days so we'll just have to go back! Petros was extremely professional, organized and very easy to work with. Every single recommendation he had for us was right on target! We went to every restaurant recommendation in each of the 3 places and were never disappointed. He arranged an AMAZING semi private sunset sail in Santorini which gave us a chance to swim, snorkel, play and eat a delicious meal prepared for us right in the yacht. On our last day in Santorini we went on a winery tour which was EXTREMELY educational and lots of fun. Highly recommend it. If you want to experience a dream come true type of honeymoon filled with adventure, fun and romance go to Greece with Hellenic Holidays!

My wife and I used Hellenic Holidays for our honeymoon. The company was recommended by a friend, and we have to say that it exceeded expectations. We multiple meetings with Petros before we left, twice to outline a plan, and the last time review our itinerary. This last meeting was particularly helpful as he provided recommendations everywhere we stayed (Istanbul, Santorini and Mykonos) and all his recommendations were spot on. In addition, each of the hotels that he arranged for us to stay at were exceptional. Each stay we were treated extremely well and made to feel at home. Lastly, whenever we had a question, Petros was available, even when we were on the trip. Once we even found ourselves stranded and it looked like we were going to be late for a wine tour that Petros had arranged. We contacted Petros who called the wine tour and within 15 minutes had us picked up and on the tour, it was truly amazing. As a television producer I am use to planning every detail to a "T", but when planning my first anniversary trip to the Greek Islands I wanted to leave the planning to a professional who would listen to what my husband and I were looking for and implement that in our trip. We could not have put ourselves in better hands; we felt so pampered, so taken care of and the only detail we had to worry about what where to have dinner (and Petros even gave us recommendations for that!) Working with Petros was a pleasure; before we even left I knew we were in great hands. From our pre-vacation meeting going over every detail, to checking in when we got to a new location, Petros was available if we needed anything. And the trip that he planned for us was phenomenal; every detail was taken care of. The three islands that we visited - Crete, Santorini and Mykonos were eclectic, gorgeous and amazing as were the hotels that he booked for us, the hotels were seriously INCREDIBLE! At every hotel we were treated like royalty and given a free upgrade at every location. In Crete and Santorini we were even upgraded to the honeymoon suite and at the suite in Santorini we had our own private pool! Oh yeah, did I mention that arriving and leaving every location we had a private transfer and he upgarded us to business class on the ferry. This e-mail is a letter of recommendation for all the hard work and dedication Petros Zissimos put into our honeymoon travel to Greece and Turkey. We recently came home about a week ago, and we still cant get over our trip. We had an amazing time, and Petros worked really hard to stay within our budget constraints as well as our timing. Based on the type of travel we like to do (my husband and I love to travel all over the world - especially have active vacations), Petros worked with us to customize our trip to include historical sites, museums, but also some relaxation time that is typical of a honeymoon. He gave us recommendations on places we might like to visit, and was very interactive with him throughout the whole process of planning our trip. We were able to narrow down the places we wanted to go in Greece (there are too many to choose from!) and based on Petros' recommendations, we really felt comfortable with what we chose. We have been all over the world, but nothing will compare to the service we received from Petros and his colleagues at our destinations. The amount of time we spent on our honeymoon, each city Petros recommended was the best amount of time. We were able to see everything we wanted to see and do everything we wanted within his recommended timeframes. He really knows what he's talking about. Additionally, his colleagues overseas are the most attentive and friendly staff I have encountered in a long time. On top of wedding planning that we did, Petros provided us with the relief of not having to worry about arranging all of our travel,hotel stays,daily excursions and recommendations on what to do, eat or sleep. All of his colleagues loved to show us around their beautiful cities, as well as provide us with historical information that we were craving to hear about. The best part of the vacation that Petros arranged for us was a semi private catamaran tour of Santorini. My wife basically planned our whole wedding singlehandedly, and when it came time to plan our honeymoon neither of us knew really how to go about it. We looked at booking hotels and flights ourselves but found ourseleves highly frustrated. Then after some research we reached out to Petros at Hellenic Holidays. I can't really reiterate how pleased and elated we were after our first meeting. Suddenly what was once a giant mess of confusion became a clear and simple stream of tasks. Not only did Hellenic Holidays help us figure out our arrangements, but they actively guided us to the actual destinations that made the most sense for us. (We had been looking at one island in Greece, which albeit was nice, but would have sacrificed Mykonos, which as Petros pointed out was a must for us.) He gave us great recommendations on the sites and eateries we had to visit. He was spot on in his recommendations. When it came time to go on our trip, Hellenic had completely laid out our trip in a logical and clear step by step process. Each vendor, ticket, hotel etc. had their own voucher, and everything was in chronological order. We did not for one second feel lost. While we were on our trip, Petros checked in from time to time to see if everything was alright (a great gesture considering there had been riots on our first day in Athens). But despite all the unfamiliarity, we never felt as if we could have done better. I highly recommend Petros and Hellenic Holidays for anyone looking to plan their honeymoon. And I also highly recommend Greece.

We are writing to nominate Petros Zissimos of Hellenic Holidays as a top travel specialist. We recently returned from a two-week honeymoon to Greece and had an amazing time, largely because of Petros' tireless efforts. We spent one night in Athens at the Hotel Grande Breatgne, four in Mykonos at the Mykonos Grand, four nights on a chartered sailboat and four in Santorini at Andronis Suites. We were prepared for the trip of a lifetime and in the end, it far exceeded even those expectations. Petros organized the perfect package without flaw. However, we would like to nominate him because he went well beyond the call of duty to make sure we had a memorable time. Here is an anecdote: We arrived at the Athens airport and met our driver to take us for what was to be a two-night stay in Athens. We were not 15 minutes from the airport when the driver received a phone call-it was Petros. This was at 12:00pm Athens time, 5:00am New York Time! The Greek air traffic controllers were to strike in two days and Petros strongly recommended that we spend only one night in Athens to ensure we made a flight out of Athens to Mykonos to not miss any time in the islands. We agreed and Petros seamlessly changed our flights, car transfers and hotel arrangements. Had he not called, we would have been likely stuck in Athens for an extended time and potentially been party to the protests (our hotel was located on Constitutrion Square, the site of the protests.) Petros took the initiative to call us and over the course of multiple days and very very early hours in the office, he ensured there was not a glitch in our trip. We have been fortunate to travel all over the world, but generally book trips on our own. Oue experience with Petros has made us rethink that approach. If only every travel agent had the professionalism and attention to detail of Petros. Private transfers,VIP check-ins, complimentary benefits such as the couples massages and five star accommodations and services, personal calls to us at each location to make sure everything was satisfactory, etc.etc. - we would without a doubt recommend friends and family to visit Greece..but only on a trip organized by Petros!

Finding Hellenic Holidays, Inc., and working with with Petros Zissimos was a dream come true. In all of the craziness of wedding planning, we wanted to find someone who could help us arrange an amazing honeymoon without us having to worry about all the details. Not onbly did he spend the time chatting with us to figure out what islands would be the best for us to visit and what our expectations were, but he also met with us prior to leaving for Greece, and gave us GREAT recommendations of places to explore. When we arrived in Athens, Petros arranged for us to be picked up by a private car service. Our driver was friendly and filled us in on what to expect in Athens. Our hotel, the Amalia Hotel, was a charming little hotel and perfectly located so that we could walk to Plaka for shopping and restaurants. Petros arranged a half day tour for us where we were able to visit the Acropolis with a very knowledgable tour guide. We left Athens and hopped a shot flight to Mykonos. Again we were picked up by a private driver, and taken to our hotel. We arrived at the Mykonos Grand Hotel where our dreams really came true. The hotel had amazing views of the Aegean, a private beach, luxurious pool and spa, and our room accommodations with our view of the sea couldn't have been more perfect. The staff went above and beyond, and the couples massage at the spa that Petros arranged, was the perfect way to relax. We did venture off and explore some of Mykonos' famous beaches and dined at some of the restaurants that Petros recommended and were not disappointed. After 4 days in Mykonos, we hopped on a ferry and headed to Santorini. Again taken to our hotel by a private driver, we arrived at Astra Suites in Imerovigli and were once again blown away by what Petros arranged for us. The terrace to our room overlooked the caldera, and we also had unforgettable views of the caldera. Every evening, we sat on our terrace to enjoy Santorini's world famous sunsets. The hotel even sent us complimentary champagne and truffles during the sunset because of Petros. While in Santorini, we explored the black sand beaches, the famous towns of Fira and Oia, ventured into Ammoudi Bay for their delicious seafood, and enjoyed a wine tour and tasting of 3 of Santorini's famous vineyards. However, the most memorable thing that Petros did for us, was arranging a sunset dinner cruise aroundthe island. Not only did we get to see firsthand the amazing geography of the island, but we were also able to swim in the warm springs of the caldera! Everything that Petros arranged for us was perfect. I would recommend Hellenic Holidays to anyone who wants an unforgettable experience in Greece!

It is with great enthusiasm that I write this recommendation to nominate Petros Zissimos as a top travel specialist for Greece to Conde Nast Traveler. I had the opportunity to work with Petros Zissimos and Hellenic Holidays to plan and organize a mother-daughter trip to Greece to celebrate my mother's 65th birthday. Having no knowledge of the country of Greece or its culture, I arranged an initial meeting with Petros in his New York City office in February 2011 after locating the Hellenic Holidays number in the back of one of the Eyewitness Travel guides. Petros listened and diligently recorded notes, as I described my idea of the perfect Greek vacation. He offered advice and suggestions as I expressed concerns about traveling with my mother, and he assured me that each destination would encompass the recreational activities to fulfill our expectations as far as sightseeing and shopping were concerned. He pulled up hotels on the internet for me to approve, and calmed my fears about traveling on the high speed ferry. He appeared to be proficient and knowledgeable on every topic discussed and I felt comfortable leaving our initial consultation that a trip planned with Petros and Hellenic Holidays, would be a trip never forgotten. In the weeks to follow, Petros put together a detailed itinerary. Throughout this time period, Petros also made himself available via e-mail and telephone to answer any questions or concerns as our trip, formally booked for July 2011, quickly approached. Three weeks before our trip was to depart from New York to Athens, I met with Petros personally for a second time to finalize the plans and go through the vouchers. It was during this meeting I was presented with a portfolio for a second time containing all of the information I would need as I traveled overseas. Every transfer, hotel and tour voucher was included in chronological order. Petros went through every voucher with me to explain what it was and when I would need it. He provided me with his international cell phone number as well as a name and number for the contact person on each leg of the journey as I traveled from one destination within Greece to the next. Some of the most valuable things he shared were the variety of "tips" including where to exchange money, clothing we should be sure to pack, sights that were a "must see" upon arrival, as well as general information necessary for a traveler who would be experiencing a new country and culture. Petros always made me feel comfortable about the decisions being made, no questions was ever considered insignificant, and I left his office feeling prepared and organized, and more excited than I imagined about the upcoming trip. It was not until we officially arrived in Greece that I realized exactly how professional and detail oriented Petros Zissimos really was. Every detail of my trip was spot on. The hotels were centrally located, charming and picturesque; exactly how they were described to me. Every transfer was on time, with our name dispalyed clearly, so we never had to wait to be picked up or search for our driver at any location. Every person we encountered was friendly and accommodating, taking care of our every need and desire. The contact person in each location reached out to us upon arrival, just as Petros had described. As I mentioned initially, this trip was a mother-daughter trip celebrating a significant birthday. Petros was well aware of this, and made sure that upon arrival at our final destination in Santorini, we were greeted with champagne and an arrangement of Greek pastry along with a personalized note expressing birthday wishes in our suite. It was very special and my mother was very touched. I cannot speak highly enough of Petros Zissimos and the way he planned our trip down to the last detail. Everything was done to perfection. If I ever travel to Greece again, Petros will be the first person I contact and he will be the first person I would recommend to anyone traveling to Greece in the future. I can think of no other person who could possibly come close to reaching the high standard of knowledge and professionalism he has set for himself and Hellenic Holidays. I apologize for not getting round to this e-mail sooner. Megan and I had the absolute time of our lives on our honeymoon! We couldn't have dreamt of a better vacation to follow up our wedding. Everything was perfect, transportation, the hotels, the food, the wine - everything. We would like to thank you for organizing such an amazing trip - the hotels we stayed at were out of this world. Every experience was even better than you described - and we will definitely being going back to Greece sometime in the future. The room at the Astra Suites in Santorini was absolutely stunning! The sunset sail was probably the best "experience" of the trip. We loved Paros and we had a great day at Santa Maria beach. The hotel in Mykonos was out of this world - we ate at the restaurant the first night and it was fantastic. Across the board we had the best time imaginable and our friends cant even believe that our pictures are real! Once I said that I wanted to honeymoon in Greece I was told that Petros was the guy to see. After our first meeting with Petros my fiance and I knew that he would be able to take our vision of the perfect honeymoon and make it a reality. His itinerary was perfect! KALIMERA, Everyone! 

My husband and I used Hellenic Holidays to plan our Greek honeymoon in August 2011. We tried to plan the honeymoon ourselves, but realized that we just didnt have the time and patience to do so. WIth so much to do out there, we just didnt know where to start. Looking online for a travel agent only frustrated us further, as it seemed to take DAYS to get a return call or e-mail from anyone. Alas, I went on the Knot and found Petros at Hellenic Holidays who reached out to us that same day! We were able to head over into the city for our meeting with him after work one evening. Petros was so flexible with his time, he even stayed after to wait for us. The office is quite cozy, and you are given 100 percent attention during your appointment... very personal. We sat with Petros, whose main goal for our first meeting was to find out what our interests were and what we expected from a trip like this. Petros was a true professional throughout, and upfront about everything. For example, when we tried to plan the trip ourselves online, we thought we wanted to go to Mykonos. But when we told Petros that we hate the beach... he was sure to mention that Mykonos is known for beaches and partying. Boy! What a mistake that would be!! He was really able to customize our trip based on where we wished to spend more time, and even arranged wonderful hotel accommodations, tours, and excursions. On our last meeting before we left for our trip, we reviewed the entire itinerary, and he even recommended several restaurants throughout all 3 islands... from those that are fancy/romanticor serve FABULOUS food, and all were pretty budget friendly, as well. We highly recommend Petros  and Hellenic Holidays to anyone looking to go on a true DREAM VACATION! Take it from us.. just relax  and enjoy!
